Steps to make Limoncello:
  1. Wash and peel lemons making sure to avoid pith
  2. Add lemon peel to a large jar and add Everclear.
  3. Place lid on top and put in a dark place for a week swirling the jar daily.
  4. On the 8th day strain the liquor away from peels and set aside.
  5. Bring water to a boil and add sugar
  6. Allow to cool and add to lemon liquor and mix well.
  7. Decant into bottles and allow to sit for another week before consuming.
  8. Note: recipe works the same for Arancello (oranges)

Put the zest in a large clean jar and pour over the vodka. Cover with a tightly fitting lid and leave for a week, shaking the jar each day. Limoncello is smooth and sweet with an intense lemon flavor. It can be sipped on its own, mixed into sparkling water, or shaken into cocktails. Limoncello can range from very sweet to super tart and citrusy — as the maker of the limoncello, that's something that you get to decide.
