Meen mulakittathu is a tasty Kerala style fish curry also called as nadan fish curry which can be served with rice. Meen is a general Malayalam word for all kinds of fish.

Steps to make Meen Mulakittath / Fish Masala:
  1. In a blender add three tablespoons of Red Chilli powder, 5-6 gralic cloves, small ginger, add water and blend well. Make two batches
  2. In a big bowl, add the blended mixture, salt, coriander powder, vinegar and mix well. - Make slits in the mackerel, and marinate the fish with the masala and keep it for 2 hours. In a pan add some oil and fry the fishes.
  3. In a pan add some oil, add some curry leaves and mix the second batch of masala, and add the fried fish and cook it in low flame for 2-3 minutues on each side. Serve it with coriander leaves.

But it tastes great when served with kappa puzhungiyathu or Kerala style mashed tapioca. It is also called as meen mulagu curry. Mullan Meen Mulakittathu is a spicy Kerala style fish curry. Fish curry is a signature item of Kerala. Fish is among the healthiest foods on the planet.
