  1. Peel yam, wash and cut into small chunks, blend fresh pepper and onions, dice some onions too, blend crafish, wash ugwu leaves, slice it and set them aside
  2. Put yam in the pot, add water, add some of the the blended onions and pepper, and some sliced ones too, add crayfish, add seasonings to taste and then cover pot and allow to cook for about 10minutes. After which taste that everything is in d right proportion and balance if not then add palm oil and then stir, bcos the yam is already soft, it will start breaking and the water starts to thicken, cover after a full stir and allow to boil for abt 3minutes.
  3. Stir till desired texture is gotten then set aside. Wash fish, salt and pepper it, fold and hold with a tooth pick and then smoke it, I used oven heat for this.
  4. Whilst that is, put a little palm oil in a pan, wen hot add the remaining sliced onions, store briefly and add the remaining blended pepper&onions and fry, fry properly then add seasonings, fry till dark brown and almost so dry and then set aside.
  5. Put ugwu in a pot, add a little onions and a pinch of salt and Steam for only about a minute.
  6. Serve and enjoy meal when fish is ready.
