  5. Melt the remaining butter/ blueband allow it to cool and brush it on top of the loaf bake at 190" degrees for about 40 mins
  6. Secret to successful bread is hard kneading, work the dough like your life depends on it.

The Christmas treat is typically baked into a tall, cylindrical shape (empty coffee cans work great as baking pans). PANETTONE TINS OR CASES You can now get hold of a tall panettone baking tin which will ensure you get the finished look. Alternatively, look for panettone cases which are made from self supporting paper. Insert two long skewers through the paper mould and through the base of the panettone, making sure they are parallel (see note). Invert and suspend the panettone by the skewers in a large pot.
