The ingredients needed to make Tomato Chicken:
  1. Take 1 kg Chicken (Curry Cut)
  2. Take 2.5 tbsp Ginger-Garlic-Green Chilli Paste
  3. Make ready 1.5 Cups Chilli Tomato Ketchup
  4. Get To taste Salt
  5. Get 1 tsp Sugar
  6. Make ready 100 gms Salted Butter
  7. Take 3 cups Boiled Hot Water (For Gravy)
  8. Prepare 2 pieces Whole Red Chilli
  9. Prepare 1/2 Cup Onion Paste
  10. Prepare 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder

Marinated chicken breasts are topped with mozzarella cheese and baked to perfection. Fresh or canned tomatoes can be used in this easy chicken breast recipe that is packed with flavor! HOW TO MAKE CHICKEN BREASTS IN TOMATO SAUCE. We then add some butter, onions, and garlic to the skillet, and follow up with wine, tomatoes, tomato paste, capers, and half & half.

Instructions to make Tomato Chicken:
  1. Marinate the cleaned Chicken with the measured amounts of onion & the 3G pastes, put in the salt & a pinch of sugar & lastly, put in it the measured Chilli-Tomato Ketchup.
  2. Give it a good mix with hands coating the chicken pieces well & cover it to marinate for about 2/3 hrs, more is good.
  3. Post the chicken is well marinated for the given time, take a frying/pressure pan, put in it the butter- let it melt well & then, two whole dried red chillies.
  4. Once it smells good put inside the entire Chicken & keep the gas oven, on the high flame for 5/6 mins while stirring continuously for sometime & reduce it to the medium flame & allow it to cook while covering for at least 15 mins.
  5. In between, Please check while giving it a good stirring at intervals to avoid & cross check, it’s not sticking to the bottom of the frying pan.
  6. Again cover & cook for another 15 mins. While checking & stirring in between. Also, now, can once cross check it.
  7. At this point, you can put it in the pressure cooker & whistle for upto 2/3 times but I prefer doing it in the kadhai/wok/pan itself, it gives a smooth shiny texture along with a controlled thick & rich gravy, with absolutely well cooked- soft & juicy chicken.
  8. Lastly, before putting off the gas flame put a drop of butter into it and it’s ready to be served absolutely hot with Rice/Paratha/Roti/Chapatis, Nun/Kulcha/Rumali Roti, etc.

Next add the torn basil leaves, tomato puree, herbs, red chilli powder, salt and sugar. Bring the tomato basil sauce to a brisk boil. After a few minutes, add the grilled chicken breasts into the tomato basil sauce. Give the oil a few minutes to cool, add the tomatoes, and return to heat (if you add the tomatoes to the hot oil it will be a splatter-fest). Simmer to cook the tomatoes down into a chunky-sauce-like-mixture.
