The ingredients needed to make Mutter with Naan:
  1. Take Dry peas
  2. Get roasted cumin seed powder
  3. Get red chilli powder
  4. Take amchur ( dry mango)powder
  5. Get Green chillies chopped
  6. Get Fresh coriander leaves chopped
  7. Get Salt
  8. Get lemon juice
  9. Take onion chopped
  10. Get Ginger chopped
  11. Get tomato chopped

One can also make naan without yeast but I prefer the version with yeast. The seeds will now stick well to the naan. Apply little water on top of the naan using your fingers or a pastry brush. Place it on the hot tawa with wet side down on tawa.

Instructions to make Mutter with Naan:
  1. Soak dry peas overnight or at least six hours
  2. Cook mutter in a pressure cook with 2-3 glass of water and salt till three whistles and then keep the flame low and cook for fifteen minutes more.
  3. Put a kadai on flame add one teaspoon deshi ghee and put chopped ginger, green chillies and cumin seeds and add mutter, saute it and add Amchur powder, red chilli, lemon and coriander leaves, mix it well garnish it with chopped onion and coriander leaves and serve it with hot naan or kulcha. You can have only mutter chat also.

Cook on medium flame, the naan will puff up, now flip over the tawa allowing the naan to directly cook on the flame from other side, still sticking to tawa from one side. Naan is a round flat bread made of maida and cooked in a Tandoor or clay oven. You can make naan using pressure cooker or oven or grill or stove top. This time I tried Coffee's Stove Top method which is not only easy but made beautiful tandoor style naan. Remember to use Cast Iron Tawa and NEVER use non-stick tawa for this method.
