  1. Prepare 2 cups Rice Flour
  2. Get 1 cup besan
  3. Get 1/2 spoon cumin
  4. Prepare 1/2 spoon carrom seeds
  5. Get 1/2 spoon red chilli powder
  6. Take 1/2 spoon turmeric
  7. Prepare 1/2 spoon coriander powder
  8. Prepare 2 spoon sesame seeds
  9. Make ready 3 spoon hot oil
  10. Get Oil for frying
  11. Get Salt as per taste

Butter murukku recipe - also known as benne murukku, benne chakli or venna murukku. Murukku is a deep fried crisp snack made with rice flour and gram flour. These are eaten through out the year and is most commonly made during festivals. Butter murukku is a lighter version of the traditional murukku or chakli.

Steps to make Murukku:
  1. Put rice flour, besan, cumin, sesame seeds, carrom seeds, salt, turmeric, red chilli powder, coriander powder and 3 spoon hot oil into a large bowl.
  2. Mix well and make a dough with adding little water.
  3. Cover it and keep aside for 20 minutes.
  4. Now dip hand in water, take big enough ball from the dough and add in chakli maker and make murukku in desired shape.
  5. Deep fry murukku till it gets light brown colour from all sides on medium flame.
  6. Enjoy murraku with tea or coffee.
