Instructions to make Scary Scream meringues:
  1. In a bowl, whisk egg whites to stiff peaks using a handheld whisk or food mixer.
  2. Continue whisking adding 1 dessert spoon of sugar at a time and fully incorporating it in.
  3. When all the sugar is added, add the cornflour and vinegar and mix for a second with the mixer.
  4. Spoon a tablespoon of mixture onto a lined tray, making a tear drop shape.
  5. Make eye and spooky mouth holes with the spoon! (See video link for tips) Push in eyes if using!
  6. Bake for 1 hour at 140 degrees, then 1/2 hr at 120 degrees. Turn off the oven and leave to cool with the oven door ajar. (
  7. These make delicious crunchy on the outside, soft and mallowy on the inside meringues. A trick and a treat!!

I saw the world's biggest ice cream the other day. I'd like to see someone top that. What are ice cream cones like as parents? What was the ice cream cone's naughty pick up line? Scoop out large spoonfuls of the whipped egg whites and place them a few inches apart on the cookie sheet, using your fingers to shape the mounds like ghosts.
